Its that time of the year to consider carefully how to best settle the garden for the coming Winter months. Recently, we produced the first episode of a short series for The English Gardener
The remit / brief for this outside broadcast was to be more ‘knowledge nugget’ orientated. The result was wonderful background sounds facilitating a truly immersive production.
NB Our advice would be to use a wind shield for your microphone when recording outside. Its also always advisable to research your recording location via a recce as you could end up next to a railway line, as we were on the example featured. It was certainly fun when we took the, ‘tape’ back to the editing suite!
Typically, a podcast of this style could include a number of contributors and also include post edit smooth switching between a studio and link to an outside segment.
Here’s an extract from a recent episode we produced for Joe, shown up a tree with his favourite pruning tool!
